A safety recall of certain caravan models is required to address a fault identified in the RV-One branded LPG gas pressure regulators (model HDJYF1001-1). It has been identified that the gas pressure regulator can develop a failure of its internal diaphragm. When the diaphragm fails, the gas regulator can leak gas (LPG).
The gas regulator is a safety control valve that reduces high pressure from the gas cylinder down to a safe, steady lower pressure and enables a smooth and constant flow of gas to the appliances.
The gas regulator can be found at the front of your caravan. It is mounted on the A- frame between the two gas cylinders as shown below.
A gas leak is detected with steady bubbles forming after a Gas Leak Detector solution has been applied over the regulator, connections, and hose fittings, or an audible gas leak noise is heard, or gas can be smelt.
Always ensure the gas cylinders are turned off when the appliances are not in use. Turn off the gas supply valve on the gas regulator immediately and contact one of our dealers nearest to you and book your caravan in for the gas regulator replacement. If you are currently on the roads travelling, you can continue to tow your caravan. Please ensure all gas cylinders are turned off and gas supply valve on the gas regulator is also turned off prior to towing. For your safety, please contact one of our dealers nearest to you and book your caravan in for the gas regulator replacement.

If your caravan is part of the recall, your gas regulator will be replaced by a licensed gas fitter/plumber free of charge.
We estimate that it will take about 30 minutes to replace the gas regulator. Depending on the capacity and workload at the dealership, it may take longer from the time you drop off to pick up. Our dealer will be able to give you a better indication at that time.
This can vary by dealer however, all dealers are expected to have the gas regulator stock by end of August 2026.

Regardless of previous replacement, you are still required to have the gas regulator checked and replaced by a licensed gas fitter/plumber.

You will receive a Gas Compliance Certificate issued by the licensed gas fitter/plumber.
As per our existing warranty policy, a period of 2 years from changeover date will apply. Please keep the copy of the Gas Compliance Certificate provided to you for future reference and proof of changeover.

We advise that you contact the dealer or manufacturer where you bought your caravan. If you decide to request support from Snowy River Caravans, please contact one of our dealers to book in a service. As the service is not covered under this recall program, a charge at standard retail rates will apply.

If your caravan is included on the recall list, you don’t need to submit a warranty claim yourself. Your preferred dealer takes care of this and the entire recall process for you. All you need to do is arrange for your caravan to have the necessary work carried out to rectify the recall issue
