Meet Adventure Intel Australia

Josh Leonard and Jess Olson are the duo behind Adventure Intel Australia, bringing their passion for exploration to life.

Josh Leonard is a leading motoring journalist and an avid 4X4 enthusiast. Known for his love of Outback travel, Josh also has a solid mechanical background and is of course co-host of Australia’s longest running 4WD show, Pat Callinan’s 4X4 Adventures. Jess Olson found her love for outdoor adventure when she started working in editorial content and marketing at an agency in the 4WD media space. They’ve been travelling Australia full-time in an SRT-19 since July 2024 and have no plans of slowing down… ever! Josh has an affinity for Western Australia whereas Jess’ heart lies in the Northern Territory. They both love red dirt adventure, being self-sufficient and heading to remote areas. Their favourite thing about caravanning is the luxury it offers when travelling as it’s so practical it gives you no reason to ever return home. It has been a massive upgrade from the rooftop tent as they now have a stable shelter away from the elements, a full-size kitchen, queen size bed and a bathroom. It’s a home on wheels that allows you to live out your travelling dreams and Josh and Jess both agree that once you get a caravan you never go back, especially when it’s a Snowy River!
